Urban Decay Naked Palette 2

It’s so good to talk about a product which is close to heart. I don’t think I can write much about this product since this is the most reviewed product on internet from all over the bloggers world. Yes, its none other than Urban Decay Naked Palette 2.

About the product

The most anticipated sequel of the decade. Naked 2 has 12 pigment-rich, taupe and greige neutral eyes shadows. Our palette proves once again, neutral is anything but boring, (and is downright sexy when worn Naked). Feast your eyes on our shades ranging from pale to deep, matte to sparkly. This collection lets you achieve lots of neutral looks, smoky dramatic eyes, and everything in between. Let’s just say there’s a whole new way to get Naked! The case has an art-school inspired look with hinged lid – taupe metal with embossed chocolate brown artwork. It’s smooth, modern and cool to the touch – a real tactile experience. Plus, our palette also features a travel-size Lip Junkie Lip gloss in Naked, AND a double-ended, cruelty-free Good Karma Shadow/Crease Brush (available only in this palette). Any self-respecting makeup lover will have to have both palettes to get their complete neutral fix!

The weight of the palette is 12 x 1.3g e 12 x 0.05 US oz

The weight of the lip junkie gloss is 3.23ml e 0.11 US fl oz

My View

In July 2012, I purchased this palette and since then I am in a deep love with it. I don’t have naked 1 but i felt more attracted to naked 2. I love each and everything from this palette.

Let’s just talk about the packaging, the case do look like an art-school geometry as mentioned in the description above. The case is solid having a metallic body with an embossed title. The 12 most luxurious shades are creative to use along with the lip gloss which they say lip junkie. Each and every shade is pigmented which blends with an ease. This ease helps you in building the desired look.

I use this palette almost every time when I want a warm, smokey or dramatic look. I love the fusion of the colors. Every color looks beautiful with other color in the palette. But to mention my favorite shades are ‘Half Baked, Snakebite, Chopper,Tease, Busted,Blackout’. The palette has a mix range of matte and shimmery ones which gives a perfect combo to any palette.

The color swatch on my hand below are without primer and they look so dense even without it. And yes the color becomes more deep and intense with the primer :). It’s good to use primer always but these shades pop without primer as well. And last longer on my eyes but still I like to use the primer beneath. I really wished they had primer instead of lip gloss.

The benefit of the second edition palette is that it comes with a double ended brush , the eye shadow brush and a crease brush. The brush has a fine bristle and that holds a right amount of product. it feels good to have an effective brush in a palette as palettes normally comes with horrible brushes but with this you can depend on it.

I 100% recommend this palette to every makeup geek 🙂

  1. I just ordered Naked 1, which will be my first Urban Decay Palette! I am super excited. I mean, all I have been hearing is super good things about these palettes so, it’s time to take the plunge. I hear that they last a good amount of time, so hopefully it’ll be worth the expense! It’s good to hear that you are enjoying the Naked 2 palette. I really haven’t hear anyone say anything negative about these palettes.
