I took literally an age to write about this product. But that surely has a reason. To know the reason, check out the review 😉

I am really a big fan of Illamasqua, last year when Illamasqua offered its summer sale I wanted to order this but unfortunately it was out of stock. And then I ordered Illamasqua Cream Foundation for me (review here).
Later on somewhere in mid of November Illamasqua again had a sale and this time I didn’t want to waste this opportunity and placed an order. £17.5 cream eyeshadows were available in £7.5. The shade I got was Superior- a metallic deep royal blue color. Illamasqua packaging is one of the finest packaging among brands. And this is how they reflect how HIGH END they are. The dark black lid is soo sleek and shiny and the transparent base helps in identifying the shade. I knew I will like one thing about it and that’s the fragrance, like its foundation this also smells amazing.
This is one of the creamiest eyeshadow I have ever used, super pigmented and glids like a dream on lid. I remember when I was waiting for my parcel I read its almost every review on internet and mostly people complained about its lasting power. This made me really down since I was having BIG hopes with it. And as soon I received it I swatched the shade directly on my eye to see how long does it last. I swatched it without a primer and felt really disappointed to see how bad it was. But then I thought may be because I have oily lid this can’t stay I will try it with a primer. And after trying it with primer, eyeshadow base, concealer, I was not happy at all. It felt like melted after and hour. The better results was with my Maybelline Color Tattoos (if i use tattoss I only use them as a base else not) and they managed to stay upto 2 hours. But that’s not worth it especially if see its price. What’s the need of such an expensive product if does not last.
Now, I know how to keep it stay atleast, just pat a dark blue compact/loose eyeshadow to set it. But this finishes the shiny look of the product. Over all, I am soo un happy and disappointed with this.
So, if they are in sale you can THINK atleast to try them, else NO WAY. Although I have an instinct feeling that lighter shades will be better than this one.
