Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

My today’s review is on Urban Decay Naked 3, which I got as soon it was released but then all my data got deleted from my laptop. Thanks to the external HD and I was able to get the raw images of the product.

Let’s move directly to the review 🙂

About the product

Urban Decay has a detailed description on their official website

Experiment with 12 NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN (and insanely beautiful) rose-hued neutrals—from pale, shimmery pink to deep black matte with rosy red micro-glitter. It’s finally here: the long-awaited follow-up Naked and Naked2 (two of the industry’s all-time bestselling palettes)! And this time around, we’re giving you a dozen NEW ways to get Naked. (Yes, we loaded this palette with 12 NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN shades.)

Choose from every finish imaginable: ultra-smooth mattes, gorgeous pearls and glimmering metallics. From the palest, shimmery pink to deep, warm black, these neutrals will make you want to get Naked all over again. Every shade features our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.

Naked3 includes a NEW double-ended shadow/blending brush AND an Eyeshadow Primer Potion sampler with resealable samples of all four formulas (original, Sin, Eden and Anti-Aging). Each sample holds about a week’s worth of Primer!

Our art-school-inspired tin case is a gorgeous rose-gold color (a subtle hint at the shades inside). Embossed on top with a big “Naked3” and cool facets that beg to be touched, it’s sure to inspire lots of jealous stares.

My View

If you all remember I have already reviewed Naked2 and I simply loved it. When UD released this palette I named it as another masterpiece by the company. The reason I say this because Naked palettes are beyond perfection for me in terms of pigmentation.

I love both the palette to bits and there are also some differences. The first main difference are the colors. The color range is a 360 degree shift. Naked3 have all the metallic pinks. And the second difference is the pacakaging. The palette size is smaller than Naked2 and the body is little plastic-y in comparison.

L-R: Strange (pale neutral pink matte-satin), Dust (pale metallic pink shimmer w/iridescent micro-glitter), Burnout (light pinky-peach satin), Limit (light dusty rose matte), Buzz (metallic rose shimmer w/silver micro-glitter), Trick (light metallic pinky-copper shimmer w/tonal micro-sparkle)

urban-decay-naked3-6
L-R:Nooner (medium pinky-brown matte), Liar (medium metallic mauve shimmer), Factory (pinky-brown satin), Mugshot (metallic taupe shimmer w/slight pink shift), Darkside (deep taupe-mauve satin) and Darkheart (smoky black matte w/rosy red micro-sparkle)

When it was releasing, there was an obvious hype amongst all the makeup lovers and I also read on internet where some people said it will be too pinky. But its not at all just PINKY. They all have such beautiful metallic touch . I mean, I never thought pinks and metallic can work well together.

There is no doubt about the pigmentation, its LOVE. They are so easy to use. Naked3 is also my easy to go palette. A life saver for me whenever I am in hurry. You can go simple or dramatic with the same palette. Isn’t it awesome?

**Since I lost all my pictures, so I only swatched these 4 shades again :(**

The staying power is great.I still like to use it with a primer just to pop the colors more.Because my eyelids are bit dark so the colors don’t show up easily with most palettes even with Naked2. But this one is great. It works perfect for the Asian skin tone. (See pic here)

Naked3 comes with Urban Decay famous primer potion sample in four shades Original, Eden, Sin, Anti-Aging and with a a synthetic dual-ended flat and blending brush. The brush is dense and holds the product well without any fallout.
