Last weekend it was my neice’s 1st birthday and we celebrated with a Frozen Theme. I had nothing exactly like Elsa dress in my wardrobe so I end up with this lace gown made by my one and only designer Ishtiaq Afzal Khan.
I have been working out lately but did not get much results. But this is is for the 1st time I have looked slim in pictures and I feel so glad and happy. I have been doing a moderate level of workouts and when you see the positive results you get motivated. And now I think this is that break point which gives me energy to work more and shed even some more weight now. Wish me luck guys ! (fingerscrossed)
My skin was not happy with that day and I have literally not a single pic of my makeup. For this post you can only enjoy outfit and shoes. And do comment and give my your precious feedback.. <3
Anastasia Beverly Hills need no introduction. I love this brand to the core and want to grab literally all their products. I have its Contour Kit for review today.
About the product
The premier contour and highlighting palette for professional makeup artists and makeup enthusiasts alike. Features three highlighting and three contouring shades for sculpting and defining your features.
Kit available in 3 shades: Light to Medium, Medium to Tan, and Tan to Deep.
Contour and highlighting is my latest obsession and I have been constantly buying products in this category. After seeing almost every YouTuber my first purchase was ABH Contour Kit and I knew I would love it. Officially the kit comes in 3 shades but since I bought from a facebook page I only had one shade option. And luckily the Light to Medium shade is perfect for me.
I should now talk about the packaging because I know most of you would already have this but just to be precise the packaging is cardboard kinda black packaging, which is indeed very handy. But it does get messy because of its color.
The palette has 6 gorgeous shades:
Vanilla– I like to use this shade as my eyeshadow base on top of eye primer Banana- I use this shade to set my under eye concealer and everywhere I tend to set my concealer for highlighting purpose. Sand- Love to use this shade on my face highest point to highlight. Java- A good bronze shade if you want to have a natural contour Fawn– I mostly mix this shade with Havana for the contour Havana-A perfect shade for contour. I use it to warm up my forehead and contour under my cheekbones and jawline.
I have seen YouTubers using this palette on top of cream contours too but since I don’t have any cream products I use it alone and it does not look cakey or patchy on my extreme dry skin. The formula tends to blend into the skin, which is really great. I have loved my face cut even more after using this product. It has no fragrance, which is a SUPER POSITIVE point for me. And does not irritate on my EXTREME SENSTIVE skin.

You all know by now that I am a foundation freak. I absolutely love foundations and lately I am using one from Masarrat Misbah’s makeup range and I am completely in LOVEEEEE…
About the product This weightless liquid formula “tunes in” to you skin’s need, controlling oil where there is a shine and moisturize where it’s patchy for a long wearing balanced look, with true coverage.
Who is this for
For all skin types including normal to oily skin types, and anyone who wants a pure natural looking finish, with all-day wear.
TIP: For dry skin you must always prep your skin with moisturizer before applying any makeup.
Ever since I have come from Masarrat Misbah’s makeup launch I am only talking about it on my Instagram, Facebook page, Twitter, in my friends circle. I have already talked about the launch here and also showed a sneak peak of my Goodie Bag here.
As I mentioned in my previous post that Masarrat Misbah makeup is purely Halal and they are also officially certified. And this makes this product even more good. They have named it as SILK FOUNDATION, which means it blends easily. They come in 12 shades and I got shade Almond. Btw, I never thought that this shade can be a perfect one for my skin. I am nc20-25 in Mac Prolong wear foundation and with that comparison the shade is quite dark but this brand has something in their formula that this shade worked like an exact match on me without being oxidize much. I did oxidize but it didn’t give me a tan look.
The foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation and got a good creamy consistency. Even though its a thick foundation it blends easily with fingers too. I have to confess that even Revlon Color Stay do not blend with fingers. According to the description; this foundation is perfect for normal to oily skin but I say its perfect for my dry and sensitive skin. Its a complete matte foundation on me but I have heard its a good dewy one for the ones who have normal skin. The staying power of the foundation is also very impressive. I have wore this foundation for maximum 6 hours and it didn’t fade neither got cracky.
How to use
When Nighat Misbah was doing my makeover she suggested to use it with finger tips. And for my dry skin she advised to use it with a moisturizer to give a glowey look. So when I use it I always do following steps
Apply my Bioderma Atoderm Cream for dry and sensitive skin.
Take just one pump of foundation on back of my hand.
Start applying gently with my finger tips starting from under eyes to cheeks and to whole face.
Dust a tiny amount of Translucent powder under my eyes to set the foundation in my fine lines and tada its done !!
That one pump is enough for the full face application but if you are using it with a brush or sponge you would need little more but trust me use your fingers to get a airbrushed finish. Shade matching can be bit difficult with this foundation at the moment but if you live in Karachi or Lahore visit any Depilex branch and the experts their will guide you what shade you should buy. You can also try there to match the shade with your skin tone. At the event we were also told that the whole makeup range is made keeping Asian skin tones in mind. So for me it was like a cherry on the top. You can purchase the entire makeup range at their official website MasarratMakeup or visit the Depilex. The price of Silk Foundation is Rs 1100/=

Makeup Launches are full of fun, being a beauty blogger I feel myself lucky to be a part of such events. Besides the MM launch (click here to read the full post), another event took place in the Month of April and it was one mutual event from Debenhems and ColorStudioPakistan. In this event they shared the latest trends of 2015 summers.
The best part of this event was the launch of ColorStudio new makeup products in Pakistan. The have introduced their new Blush range, Invincible Flawless Finish foundation,Brown Kohl Addict and Hypno Marker. They showcased #SS15 makeup trends and one live makeover also took place.
Here are some glimpse of the event. I will share the details of the goody bag in a separate post too.
All the looks were simple yet perfect but my style would be Sherbet Shades. I think I could only carry this with Hijab also 🙂
Do share what is your #ss15 look and why do you like it.. 🙂
This is going to be an exciting review. Today’s review is different and special. Different because it is not about any product it is about an exciting activity, Pakistan’s 1st Beauty Bloggers Secret Swapping Program organized by PBBC-Pakistani Beauty Blogger Community and special because I was a part of this amazing and inspiring activity.
PBBC is the community that promotes beauty blogs. And few weeks back they came up with an idea of secret swapping of cosmetics. For me that was something unique as well as interesting. OK, so now question is what was interesting? Sending gifts are more fun when we receive gifts in return and most importantly when we receive makeup in gifts 🙂
The concept of this swapping program was to exchange the gifts between the bloggers. PPBC did this in a very organized way. A registration form was filled by the interested bloggers for free of cost. That form was not just for the registration, it included question regarding what type of makeup we like. What colors we love, which brands we prefer. Later on, every blogger were told secretly whom we have to send our secret gifts along with the list of information they entered during registration. Since every blogger had to send a gift to another assigned blogger it was important to know their preferences. We only know whom we will be sending but we had no clue who will be sending us. I had to send a gift to Fakhra Rafique from Fakhra Rafique Blog. I really hope she liked my gift.
Now, come to my gifts. Sana Shahid from A Girl’s Fancies sent me some gorgeous goods from MUA. I love she chose everything according to my choice. My surprise had 4 products.
MUA Eye Shadow Palettes –Glamorous Days
MUA Eyebrow Brush- E7
MUA Blusher – Shade 2
MUA Lipstick- Shade 12
I made a token of thanks for Sana hope you all like it 🙂
I really think this type of activities should happen frequently. It surely gonna expand our socializing circle.
Dont forget to write below and share your views with me 🙂
